Them Boot's

I love's these boots.
Ever since I bought them, I have dubbed them my "adventure" boot's because I bought them as a gift for myself to wear on my wedding day and getting married was my next "adventure".
I got my first pair of boot's when I was around 7 and started horseback riding.
I loved those boot's. I wore them everywhere and it was a sad day when I no longer fit into them.
I can now call those my beginner "adventure" boots.

Call me weird, but I tend to connect memories with clothes and shoes.
I still have the shirt I was wearing when I met Steve and I have a simple pair of laced flats that I bought on our honeymoon.
Every time I wear these items I remember such sweet moments from my past.
I hope to one day wear these boots as I walk in the countryside of Ireland with my husband on our dream vacation or as I purchase a new little pair of boots for our future child. Both of these things won't be for a while but they will be a great step on then next adventure.

Some people have trinkets that remind them of moments, I have clothes.

School Time

It's that time of year again. Time for school. This year is full of classes I am very excited to take. I've already gone to two of the three and both classes consisted of watching sometime type of movie. I think I am going to enjoy those classes. ;)

Funny Story, Steve helped me take these photos the day before because I knew I wouldn't have time to take photos in the morning.
And in morning as I was getting ready I soon realized I should have washed my shirt before hand because it was rubbing on my white shorts and turning them kind of green. Which led me to making a wardrobe change 5 minuets before I had to leave for class. Nothing like a little stress before you start school.

My husband has been a real encourager of my blogging. He's always telling me to keep writing even if it's just about my life as long as I enjoy doing it.

SO, the other day we were getting ready to leave and I told him if he wants me to keep blogging/writing he's going to have to help out some days and be my camera man.

He is truly better than an tripod. His 6'5'' hight also helps get good angles ;)

BTW I swear my flats in this picture are tan, not white.

the fact that I was trying not to laugh in half of these photos because my husband was behind the camera yelling "GIVE ME MORE GIRAFFE!"
my obsession with Old Navy sweaters. I mean, I went to Old Navy last weekend with my friend and my mom and swore I didn't need any more sweaters. But I caved and bought the one above and another because they were on sale.
how I should invest in some other boots so you aren't seeing these constantly. Even though they are my favorites.
how football season is almost over! No! say it isn't so....
How the other day it hit me like a brick wall that I am a grown up now. Like, I got excited over a vacuum coming in the mail and I paid my property taxes the other day. When did this happen!
that I am obsessed with pinterest again. There goes all my free time.
my new glasses that I got from Zenni Optics! If you have your eye prescription written down (like I do) you can order great frames for amazing prices! I got these for $20!

Back to school I go. Monday was my first day back on campus and probably the last day I take the time to curl my hair for class the entire semester.
I'm kind of excited for this semester. This will be my last semester and I will have my A.A Degree by the end of it. Where I choose to go from then on is a mystery and something I am praying about. I might continue to go to the school and build up my knowledge or I might choose to do something else. You never know.

I know most of my readers are heading back to school as well and I hope you all have a great first week. Full of easy teachers and fun classes. Dont forget to do your best cheesy high school musical jump in honor of your first day going back to school! Don't let me be the only one ;)

I apologize. But you know, life happens. I got married and life happened RIGHT away. I feel like life didn't slow down from the moment I said "I do", till Christmas Eve.

But I'm back. And one of my goals this year is to blog more. And I swear I say that EVERY year but HEY, a girl can dream.

And apparently my dream is to blog....lol.

If you are wondering. Married life is going great. Its definitely an adventure and I definitely treasure the moments, especially the funny ones;)

Its that time of year again. Time to wear Orange and Blue on Saturdays.

This year is kind of exciting too because my towns local private college has a football team again after 57 years. So it's super cool to say "I live in a college football town".

Even though it is nothing compared to the big public colleges, its still something :)

It is also getting super close to "the BIG DAY".

I can't believe there is still so much to do!

It is exciting nevertheless.

I love these shoes. I'm all for comfort (which these shoes are all about). And they add a POP of color too!
Being a nanny comfy shoes are important. You have to be ready (and have shoes that are ready) to run after the kiddo.

This past week was nothing short of crazy. I went from having no job, to a job, and then getting offered a better job and having to quit the first job after one day.

So what is my new job you ask?
I am a nanny again. Full time. Which is great and such a blessing. I'm taking just an online class this semester so I can focus on my wedding and future marriage :) and also watching an adorable 1.5 year old.
I am going to keep blogging as much as I can. I love doing it even though I get busy and can't post as much as I would like.

So stayed tuned for my nanny adventures/outfits. I attempted to capture my outfit this morning but....my room was a mess so I had to settle for a dirty mirror shot :P SORRY

At 11:30pm I should be thinking about the math test I need to study for or the color paint I want to paint our house with.
But no.
I'm thinking about what it means to be "classy" and other major thought provoking questions.

I'm probably not the only one out there right?? Who's just lying in bed, about to fall asleep, when the most complex thought come into you're brain
And then that leads me to scribbling down in my journal when I should be sleeping.
Which then leads me to being sleepy the next morning, followed by tiredness and lazyness.
(hence why your getting mirror photos, cause i was too lazy to set up my tripod)

Growing up I was not the typical "pink" girl.

I thought pink was iky.

It wasn't till my junior year of high school that I was like
"Pink isn't that bad"

I wont go so far as to say pink is my FAVORITE color (im more of a blue girl), but its a close second.

Pink is slowly growing in my closet. From my own purchases to those purchased by a certain special person who really like me in pink ( cough cough steve cough cough).

Now every time I see something pink I think my expression is something like this
