~Going through all my decoration ideas for my wedding. It is definitely not easy, trying to remember all my ideas. Thank the Lord for pinterest.

~Loving Valspar virtual painter. This has saved us from going through like 5 thousand sample colors while we are fixing up "our" future house.

~Very thankful for this man. I love him more and more everyday.

~Watching Parks And Recreation. I've gotten hooked on this show. It definitely gets funnier after season 1. Thank you netflix for letting me binge watch Parks and Rec.

11:34 AM

This weekend was truly nothing short of amazing. It went by so fast and I enjoyed it so much. I still keep thinking about it.

Saturday was my 20th birthday.

Yes. I am not technically a "teenager" any more.

First off on my amazing day, I was woken up by my amazing man who had a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand.
Most of my day was a surprise. I had no idea what was being planned except chick-fil-a for lunch, and a wedding later on in the evening.

My first surprise/birthday gift was that we were going horseback riding!
I used to ride and I love my horses. I haven't been on a horse 3 years but I was so excited that I got to get back in the saddle again. (cue cheesy rock song)
Its amazing how natural some stuff comes back to you. I had no trouble ridding my horse on the trail.
(Steve on the other hand.... well we just wont go there.. but it made for a very fun/funny horse back ride)

 photo 983949_10201420814108146_341908920_n_zps6838b767.jpg

Then afterwards we of course went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. My favorite place of all.

Later on in the evening after some nice down time at the house we went to our friends wedding.
It was beautiful. Their wedding was like my pinterest bored and then some. So, not only was it beautiful but it was exciting because it got me excited for my own wedding in 5 months!
(not that I wasn't excited already lol)

One of my favorite things about their wedding that I want to gush about, was the photobooth. I've heard of people doing these at their wedding but I didn't realize how fun it was till I actually tried it myself.
If i get the chance. We are working one into my reception.
BTW you can see a little snip of us having fun on PhotoBoothWasted's Instagram

Aren't we precious??? ;)

dunkin donuts

My prayers

12:00 AM

Last week at VBS, I had to stare at boxes and boxes of Dunkin Donut's delicious gluten filled round goodness... That I couldn't have.

I have been praying
(well, not really, more like just thinking really hard)
for one of these awesome coffee places to get the memo to have GF doughnuts.

And thank the Lord someone finally decided to get on the GF bandwagon.

I foresee myself sending Steve out after we are married to the local Dunkin Doughnuts to get me some yummy round "gluten free" goodness :)

I'm super happy a lot of places are now creating gluten free options for people, like myself, who are allergic.

It's nice to see and I know a lot of people think it's stupid, but when you find out you are allergic to gluten or celiac, it becomes a daily lifestyle and you sometimes get to miss out on things, yummy things, like doughnuts.

Thanks Dunkin Doughnuts!

And Subway, you better be next.. I miss my subs...

The 5th Wave

12:00 AM

The Book Review:

The 5th Wave
by Rick Yancey

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.
Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

My Review:
When I finally got around to reading this book. I had totally forgotten the premise of it. All I knew is Lauren recommended it so I made sure to put it on hold at the library (cause I'm to cheep to buy books).
So, I was a tad off guard when I started reading and Cassie refereed to "Others" or "Aliens"
I haaateee Aliens.
1. Because I dont believe in them. 2. They creep me out.
But because I'm such a good book reader(and im brave). I kept reading. I'm glad I did.
"The 5th Wave" (if you aren't freaked out by even reading about aliens, like me) is a great read. Its intense, adventurous, Cassie is a great character and her dialog is amazing.
Do yourself a favor and add this to your summer reading list!

How the week went

8:00 AM

Day 1 :
Yay! Up early to curl hair. 2 cups of coffee. Got to church early. Adrenalin pumping. All hyped up.
No need for nap.

Day 2:
Figured its not worth the effort to curl my hair so I straighten it and cake it with hair spray to fight off the Florida humidity. Was good with one cup of coffee.
No need for nap

Day 3:
My excitement energy is wearing off. I quickly get ready so I can fix a cup of coffee. I contemplate/attempt taking a nap behind stage before the morning extravaganza.
Took a nap afterwards while waiting for Steve to pick me up for a trip to run some errands. He woke me up and I was tired the rest of the day.

Day 4:
Getting out of bed is not very easy. I didnt finished my coffee cause i was too tired/sickfeeling. Arrived at church. Tried to memorize lines. Thankful for adrenalin that kicked in when it was show time.
I took 2 naps that afternoon

Day 5:
The only thing motivating me to get out of bed is that thought that it is the last day and I get to come home in 5 hours and sleep.
Which I did for a whole hour.
This isn't to say I didnt enjoy my week. I truly felt blessed by what I got to do and my interactions with the kids.
But anyone who works in children's ministry, it is very tiring.
Tiring but rewarding.

check in

It is only tuesday..

8:00 AM

But this will be posted Wednesday.
But as I write this its Tuesday. And I'm already tired.
Once I'm done typing this I am SO ready to crawl in bed, read a little, then go in to the deepest slumber till 6:55am when I need to get up to go dance around and act like a crazy person in front of 100+ kids.
I haven't even worked out this week because I'm counting all the jumping around I've been doing at 9am and 11:35am as a workout.

Thank the Lord for the break in the middle of those times.
It gives me time to recuperate, drink more coffee, and go over my lines so I don't sound like a robot reading from the script.

(which ends up happening anyway because I forget and mess up 85% of the time.) (Thankfully kids are super nonjudgmental )

As tired as I am. I absolutely love what I get to do this week. Being on stage in front of 100+ kids everyday singing and teaching them about God is such a blessing in itself.
Plus I get to dance, which you should all know by now I love to do. Especially with kids :)

I love working with kids in church.
We all strive to have a "child-like" faith in Christ, and I feel like, doing what I do, working not only on VBS but in children's church every week, I'm constantly reminded of what it means to have a child-like faith because I am surrounded by children who love God with all their hearts and just want to please him.

SO next time you hear from me, I probably will have no voice from singing and being loud and crazy with the kiddos, but at least I'm doing something awesome for God and blessing all the little ones around me :)

Stay Strong Friends ;)

Or in my case, perfect reading, blogging, coffee drinking, cooking, wedding planning, snuggle with the fiance, weather.
