Happy New Year Everyone.. ok its not the new year yet, but i'm close enough :)
new year 2010 Pictures, Images and Photos

I remember 10 years ago my sister and i in the basement so excited for the new year ( and our friends coming over ;) ) that we were being goofs. We even attempted ( and succeeded) in getting both of our body's into 1 large shirt. Sorry i have no photo to share ;). Then about 11pm we went up stairs and CRASHED and I'm serious. We have it on My sister and behind the couch trying not to fall asleep and myself laying on the couch slowly falling asleep. Though we were able to stay up and see the start of a new year.
Then we feel asleep.

To all my friends and blog friends. Have a wondrous and glorious, Christ-filled new year!

Grasping the Concept

12:23 PM

Every Christmas we've always given our dog (or dogs) bones. So they won't get into, step on, and rip gifts. Over the past 3 years we've noticed that Jaxson really doesn't get the concept of the "chewing bone"
His idea of what to do with it is to walk around the house for more then an hour ,while we open gifts, looking for a "unique " place to hide the bone. We have found it in the couch/chair cousins, in his beanbag, and this year he attempted to move the dinning room drapes, and also he tried to hide is under our bathroom mat.
Needless to say now i think its somewhere in the backyard. Now he will come to the door with it in his mouth. Be a good boy and drop the dirt covered bone on the patio and come inside, then go out later and re-bury it.

I told my mom i just buy the bone for the entertainment value. Cause we laugh watching him walk around the house for hours and his attempts ( see video below) to hide the bone.

I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas ;)

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone !!!!!!

Have an amazing and great Christmas :)

Much ado about nothing

12:59 PM

so today is a nothing day. i watched nothing but morning television all morning long. I have no intention of getting out of my shorts and worn out tee anytime soon, even though its cold outside.
I have theses "nothing plans" because I truthfully have nothing to do. I have no school this week ( though there is a test i have to work on but its not hard) and i really don't have any plans till Christmas. I should watch what I'm writing cause my mother has all the power in the world to give me something
So i sit here listening to my Pandora radio stations chilling, hoping I'll feel better ( i ate eggs this morning and I need to remember that I CANNOT eat eggs in the morning cause they make me sick. i really don't know why but they do.)
That's my plan for the day. Here's hoping tomorrow isn't a exact copy of today.

Going Deep

1:55 PM

Ok, so i realized that I haven't really gone to deep in blog post lately, They're either totally random or about cookies.

So lately I've been thinking about this little necklace.

I've had this necklace for almost 2 years, I believe, and over those 2 years its lost a couple of it "diamonds" that make the heart.
As I looked at it the other day, God put a little though in my head.
"Not every heart it perfect"
That's a thought! Over the past year, God has really tested me in accepting and realizing that everybody's different. I didn't have a huge issue with it but I would get upset when certain people would act a certain way, or say something that didn't needed to be said, or just didn't accept certain things that i believed or said. He also constantly reminded me that "no one is perfect"
As I looked at the necklace, I remembered that we all still have a few "diamonds" that are missing that doesn't make us perfect. Truthfully ( in the words of my pastor) we will NEVER be perfect on this earth. Our hearts will never be perfectly surrounded by "diamonds" till we reach our "home above".
If you see me walking around, I am more or less wearing this necklace. Its a constant reminder and, hey , its still cute even though its missing some diamonds ;)
Oh and remember, God is they only perfect person we will know. SO lets hang out more often with the only perfect Friend ;)

Hebrews 12:2
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

10:58 AM

So i finally got the motivation to blog today. Maybe because I read the cute "Jamie DeLaine's" recent blog post :)
Truthfully this is my week off. I'm done school for the semester. Though I'm doing a small bit of math. I actually got to watch t.v this morning. And yes to those who are not homeschool. I am not aloud to watch t.v in the morning before school. So I'm excited when i can watch t.v in the morning :) and be a lazy bum :)
So, i have nothing really fun planned for my weeks off. I will be catching up on some reading. baking, and just relaxing.
This morning though, I was extra motivated to take pictures. So I walked around my house, in my p.j's with camera in hand. And here are the result.

He's such a ham~

LOVE this photo :)

My yummy no-bake peanut butter

My taste tester :)

Catching up on some reading over christmas break.

No purpose

12:06 PM

This post really has no-purpose. Which is better then me writing about cookies. Though as i right this my sister is finishing up on a batch of cookies she made for co-op tomorrow. I truly haven't been able to cook or bake in the kitchen cause this Friday my mom's throwing her annual Christmas party and she not letting anyone really cook or bake, cause shes cooking soups and cheesecakes like crazy!
The Christmas season is going really well so far. This is my last week of co-op classes for the semester :) I'm so happy. I'll still be doing math until the week of Christmas, but I'm ok with that :) I'm behind anyway.
Last Sunday, for my friends 16th birthday party, she took me and a couple more friends to Kobe's. Ever been there? You should go at least once in your life ( i want to go again) It is SO amazing. The food was so good and there was so much of it ( which was good for the money you paid.)
I am all done my Christmas shopping for my family :) I'm so proud of myself :) lol. I still have to get my puppy a bone and maybe something else for his stocking ( yes my dog has a stocking).
My churches Christmas cantata is arriving QUICKLY. Its insane, I still don't know some of the songs all that well, but i should be next weekend..... hopefully........

So there a non-purpose post ;) I hope you all are having a great Christmas season so far :)

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'" "That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown."

2nd batch

1:43 PM

Trust me, I will try not to make every post about cookies :) This past week I made some AWESOME and so easy peanut butter cookies :)

Of course Jaxson had to have a taste ( like always :) )

1st Batch :)

12:22 PM

Yesterday I made my first batch of cookies of the Christmas season. I made my favorite, Cake Mix Cookie's, I love these because they are sooo good and sooo easy ;) My friends love it when i make them :)

Cake Mix Cookies

1 package of cake mix (any flavor.. i like to use chocolate)
1 large egg
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of water
1 cup of chopped nuts, raisins, oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chips, M&M'S® etc. (anything you like in cookies)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water. Beat until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredient (s).

Drop by teaspoon about 1 inch apart onto greased cooke sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes or until done. Makes about 4 dozens. Yummy!

My "Taste Tester" ready to taste some cookies ;)
