Tuna Burgers

8:00 AM

I feel I've made Tuna every which way. From Chickpea to StoveTop. I felt it was time to update this from a couple years ago. It's a family recipe that I grew up on and my husband has come to love.
The main ingredient is canned tuna. My favorite is Wild Selections Tuna. It's Non-GMO, Certified MSC Sustainable, and sustainably caught.  The way nature intended for tuna to be!
This recipe could also be made vegan if you want to use vegan tuna. I know the products are out there I just have never tried them myself.

Tuna Burgers - Gluten and Dairy Free
A quick and tasty burger for those busy weeknights. Gluten + Dairy Free too
Ingredients
  • 2 5oz cans Tuna
  • 1/2 cup Gluten Free Bread Crumbs*
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup Mayonaise*
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • Diced Small Onion
  • 4 Gluten Free Hamburger Buns*
  • *Optional Old Bay
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. If you feel like the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs If you feel the mixture is too dry, add more mayonnaiseForm into patties. You can do this ahead of time but I wouldn't do it more than a couple hours before (I did mine in the morning to cook at night)Cook patties till brown on each side. Make sure the middle is cooked through. I say the cooking time varies depending on the size of your pattiesServe on your favorite GF/DF Bun and enjoy!

*GF Breadcrumbs are a must. I would assume you could use Panko breadcrumbs too if you had them on hand.
*I used Just Mayo - but feel free to use whatever Mayonaise you'd like
*My favorite buns in the entire world are BFree. If you can find them near you, get them. They will change your life.
